Role Description The Automotive Body Technician is a full-time, on-site role located in South Chatham, MA. This role involves repairing collision damage, performing auto body work, and preparing and refinishing surfaces for painting. Day-to-day tasks include assessing vehicle damage, removing and replacing damaged panels, aligning frames and body components, sanding and masking, and applying paint and finishes. The technician will also perform routine maintenance and repair tasks related to body components, work closely with other team members to ensure high-quality results, and follow safety and industry standards throughout all repair processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Auto Body and Collision repair, including panel replacement, dent removal, and structural alignment.
• Candidates should possess skills in Paint preparation and application, including sanding, masking, color matching, and finishing.
• Candidates should possess skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair, focusing on body-related components and overall vehicle safety.
• Experience in automotive body shops or collision centers, with knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and follow repair estimates, technical manuals, and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
