Clinic Director / Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)Wasilla, Alaska | Reading Write Alaska

$60 per 45-minute treatment session | $350 per evaluation | $20,000 annual Director stipend | Flexible scheduling | 4-day workweeks common | $5,000 relocation assistance | Earning Potential of $150K+

Love being an SLP—but ready for something more?

Reading Write Alaska is looking for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to lead our established Wasilla clinic as Clinic Director / SLP.

This position was designed for an SLP who still enjoys clinical work but is ready for the next step professionally: leadership, mentorship, autonomy, and the opportunity to help shape a clinic—without taking on the financial risk and administrative burden of opening a private practice.

And because we're an SLP-owned practice, we've built our compensation model differently.

Your clinical work drives your compensation.

  • $60 per completed 45-minute treatment session
  • Minimum of 36 treatment sessions per week
  • $350 per evaluation, with a minimum of one evaluation per week
  • Add additional sessions to increase your earnings
  • $20,000 Clinic Director stipend annually

Scheduling is flexible, and many of our clinicians work four-day weeks.

An Established Clinic—Ready for Its Next Leader

You won't be starting from scratch.

Our Wasilla clinic is established and serving Mat-Su families, with equipped treatment space, support staff, existing patients, administrative infrastructure, and strong community demand.

As Clinic Director, you'll maintain your own pediatric caseload while providing day-to-day clinical leadership for the Wasilla team.

You'll:

  • Evaluate and treat pediatric patients
  • Mentor and support SLPAs, Clinical Fellows, and other clinical staff
  • Provide clinical guidance and problem-solving
  • Help maintain high clinical standards
  • Participate in hiring and onboarding as the clinic grows
  • Collaborate with our Anchorage clinical and administrative teams
  • Help shape programming and future growth of the Wasilla location

You'll have genuine autonomy and leadership responsibility—but you won't be left to run a business by yourself.

Benefits That Matter

Full-time employees receive:

  • 75% of the employee health insurance premium paid by Reading Write Alaska
  • 401(k) with a 4% employer match
  • 7 paid holidays
  • Accrued paid time off
  • Continuing education support
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Administrative, scheduling, billing and credentialing support
  • Professional development and leadership opportunities

For candidates relocating to Alaska, we offer $5,000 in relocation assistance with a one-year employment commitment.

Who We're Looking For

You may already be a leader—or you may simply be ready to become one.

Our ideal candidate is:

  • An ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)
  • Eligible for Alaska licensure
  • Experienced in pediatric speech-language pathology
  • A strong, confident clinician
  • Someone who enjoys mentoring and supporting other clinicians
  • Organized and comfortable making day-to-day decisions
  • Collaborative, approachable and solution-oriented
  • Excited about having a voice in how a clinic operates and grows

Previous Clinic Director or management experience is not required.

We're much more interested in finding the right experienced SLP with the judgment, clinical skills and personality to lead.

Why Reading Write Alaska?

Reading Write Alaska was founded by an SLP in 2011.

We understand the realities of clinical practice because we've lived them.

Our clinicians don't have to run the billing department, chase insurance companies, manage credentialing, market a private practice, or build a referral network from nothing. Our established administrative team handles the business infrastructure so clinicians can focus on patients and clinical care.

For the right person, this position offers something between being an employee and being a practice owner:

You get to lead, build, mentor and make an impact—without carrying the financial risk of owning the business.

Why Wasilla?

Wasilla is located in Alaska's Mat-Su Valley, surrounded by mountains, lakes and some of the most incredible outdoor recreation in the country, while still providing easy access to Anchorage.

The Mat-Su Valley is growing rapidly, and demand for pediatric speech-language services is strong.

Whether you already call Alaska home or have wondered what it might be like to live here, we'd love to talk.

You Don't Have to Be Job Hunting

The SLP we're hoping to find may already have a job they like.

But maybe you're ready for more.

More autonomy. More leadership. More flexibility. More earning potential. More opportunity to influence how care is delivered.

If that sounds interesting, let's have a confidential conversation.

Come lead Reading Write Alaska's Wasilla clinic and help us build what's next!
