Job description

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of maintenance workers
  • Interprets company policies and collective bargaining agreement
  • Demonstrated commitment and enforcement of safe work practices
  • Maintains time and production reports
  • Coordinates with production and other departments in Raynor
  • Schedules repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment to ensure continuous production operations
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
  • Suggests changes in work conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, and crew

Knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • Metal forming, manufacturing, and maintenance background
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Deals effectively with multiple internal/external customers of varying levels
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively motivate, foster teamwork, and supervise direct reports
  • Knowledge and ability concerning specific machine capacity and capability issues
  • Capable to increase manufacturing efficiencies through effective scheduling
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication, self-presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Tool Room and Plant Facilities experience
