Our pharmacy team plays a central role in patient safety, clinical decision support, and hospital operations. We are seeking a dedicated Hospital Pharmacist to join our team and serve as a trusted clinical partner across all departments.


Position Overview

The Hospital Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care, oversees medication management, and supports clinical teams throughout the facility. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who thrives in a rural environment, values autonomy, and enjoys being deeply embedded in patient care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Medication Management - Dispense, verify, and monitor medications for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.
  • Clinical Support - Provide dosing guidance, therapeutic drug monitoring, antimicrobial stewardship, and consultative support to providers.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Maintain compliance with state/federal regulations, USP standards, and hospital policies.
  • Medication Safety - Lead initiatives to reduce medication errors and improve patient outcomes.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration - Partner with nursing, providers, and ancillary teams to support evidence-based care.
  • Inventory Oversight - Manage formulary, shortages, vendor relationships, and controlled substance accountability.
  • Patient & Staff Education - Provide medication counseling and support staff training on new therapies and protocols.


Schedule & Work Environment

  • Full-time, on-site role
  • May include participation in on-call rotation

Requirements

 Qualifications

  • PharmD from an accredited program
  • Active Missouri Pharmacist license
  • Hospital pharmacy experience preferred; CAH experience highly valued
  • BLS required; advanced certifications (e.g., BCPS) preferred
  • Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
