We are a growing independent pharmacy dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality care to our patients and creating a positive experience for both our patients and our team. We are looking for a dependable and patient-focused Part-Time Pharmacist to join our team.

Position Summary

The Part-Time Pharmacist will be responsible for safely and accurately dispensing medications, providing exceptional patient care, supporting pharmacy operations, and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.

The ideal candidate will have prior PioneerRx experience and be comfortable working in an independent pharmacy environment. Compounding pharmacy experience is a plus, but is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and accurately dispense prescription medications
• Verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, drug interactions, and clinical concerns
• Process and manage prescriptions using PioneerRx pharmacy management software
• Utilize PioneerRx to review patient profiles, prescription history, refill information, medication records, and insurance information
• Enter, process, and verify prescriptions accurately within PioneerRx
• Manage prescription workflow and communicate effectively with pharmacy technicians
• Counsel patients regarding medications, including proper use, dosage, side effects, and potential interactions
• Communicate with prescribers and other healthcare professionals when necessary
• Resolve prescription, insurance, prior authorization, and medication-related issues
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and pharmacy regulations
• Maintain accurate patient, prescription, and pharmacy records
• Oversee and support pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy staff
• Ensure proper medication storage, handling, and inventory procedures
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with patients
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and workflow
• Participate in quality assurance and medication safety initiatives
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited program
• Current, active pharmacist license in the state of employment
• In good standing with the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
• Previous PioneerRx experience strongly preferred
• Experience working in an independent or community pharmacy preferred
• Compounding pharmacy experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong knowledge of prescription medications, drug interactions, and pharmacy regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, professional, and dependable

• PioneerRx pharmacy management system experience
• Independent pharmacy experience
• Compounding pharmacy experience
• Specialty pharmacy experience
• Experience managing prescription workflow through PioneerRx
• Experience with medication synchronization and refill management
• Experience with insurance claims and prescription billing
• Experience working with pharmacy technicians and managing workflow
• Strong patient counseling and clinical skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
