Job description

Duties: Perform fieldwork for geotechnical subsurface investigation programs and geophysical surveys under specific work instructions as provided by the engineering staff. The fieldwork will include geotechnical drilling and sampling, visual field reconnaissance, and soil and rock logging. Additionally, geophysical surveys will consist of performing seismic surveys, earth electrical resistivity surveys, and other appropriate surveys as directed by a project geophysicist. Observation and documentation of geotechnical construction activities and perform construction material testing/inspection during construction phases. Perform other engineering activities as required. No hire/fire authority.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Geosciences, Civil Engineering, Geology, Geophysics or related is required. Experience can come from coursework. Must have experience with MS Office computer programs. Must have experience in Geotechnical drilling and sampling. Must have experience with construction material testing in soil and concrete. Can work from anywhere in the U.S. with national travel to client sites required 95% of the time. Must also be able to travel to Round Rock, TX at least once per month. Valid driver license and a clean driving record are required.
