We are seeking a Small Business Programs Lead to lead execution of client facing services. This individual will serve as a trusted on-site leader, representing ROCIMG with executive presence and professionalism. The ideal candidate understands FAR, DFARS, and DoD small business programs and can build client confidence to position ROCIMG for long-term partnerships.
Position RequirementsResponsibilities - Lead, perform, and manage execution of program tasks.
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, DoD acquisition policies, and small business program regulations.
- Oversee contract lifecycle management, performance monitoring, reporting, and audit readiness.
- Serve as the primary liaison between leadership, contracting personnel, vendors, and industry stakeholders.
- Develop executive-level briefings, dashboards, and performance reports.
- Identify risks, compliance gaps, and program improvement opportunities; implement corrective actions.
- Facilitate meetings, working groups, and training sessions to support stakeholder engagement.
- Represent ROCIMG professionally in client-facing engagements and strengthen customer trust and satisfaction.
Formal Education and Certification - Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Acquisition, Finance, or related field.
- PMP, FAC-C, DAWIA, or related acquisition certification preferred.
- Training or certification related to federal small business programs or acquisition management preferred.
Ideal Candidate Profile - Demonstrated knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and DoD small business programs.
- Experience supporting acquisition offices within DoD or other federal agencies.
- Strong understanding of the federal acquisition lifecycle and contract compliance requirements.
- Executive presence with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build credibility quickly and operate effectively in a government environment.
- Political awareness and sound judgment in navigating complex acquisition environments.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing priorities.
Preferred Experience - Minimum six (6) years of experience supporting federal acquisition or small business programs.
- DoD past performance experience strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing reports and briefings for senior government leadership.
- Familiarity with federal reporting systems (e.g., SAM.gov, eSRS).
- Experience working in a consulting or government contracting environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Teams, and SharePoint.
LocationDMV-area candidates due to on-site leadership engagement requirements in Arlington, VA.
Additional Requirements - U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to successfully complete background investigation requirements.
- Ability to support occasional travel (estimated 5-15%) for conferences, stakeholder engagements, or industry events as required by customer.

Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time
Salary $100,000 - $120,000, plus bonus. Final salary is determined by relevant experience, FAR/DFARS expertise, DoD experience, certifications, geographic location, and demonstrated leadership capability.
