We are looking for skilled compassionate individuals to become a part of our care-giving team. The individuals will interact directly with persons served, providing comfort and transportation, monitoring their vital signs and assisting with daily living needs. We are searching for dedicated, compassionate and energetic individuals to be a vital link between persons served and other facility staff. We have both part-time and full-time positions. This positions involve working with people with intellectual disabilities.
CNA/ Caregiver
Adhere to professional standards, follow policies and procedures and abide by federal, state and local requirements, as well as Joint Commission standards
Assist the nurses and other staff as needed
Check vital signs and record daily information in the patient's chart
Assist with daily living activities. This includes preparing meals
ensure that each individual has the opportunity to lead meaningful lives, make personal choices, and achieve maximum independence.
Help persons served with personal hygiene. Provide patients with bedpans, help with baths, shampoos and showers
Caregiver/ CNA (please do not apply unless you meet ALL the qualifications)
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
Basic computer skills
Completion of a state-approved CNA certification training course is preferred but not a must.
Ability to work as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations with a cool head
Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy ("bedside manner")
Valid Kansas DL with good driving record (No suspended license or DUI in your record, no three speeding tickets in a period of one year).
Pass criminal background test. No personal misdemeanor or felony, no petty theft in your record.
