Job description

About the Role:

Reporting to the Director of Health, Safety & Environment, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining R&R Machine Service’s Health, Safety & Environmental Management System.

You will work closely with supervisors, managers and employees to ensure compliance with OSHA / UOSH regulations while driving continual improvement throughout the business.

This is primarily an operational role requiring regular presence within the manufacturing facility.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a proactive safety culture across all departments.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits.
  • Lead incident investigations and identify root causes.
  • Support supervisors with hazard assessments and risk management.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs.
  • Coordinate new employee safety orientation.
  • Maintain OSHA compliance and regulatory documentation.
  • Assist with emergency preparedness and response planning.
  • Manage safety statistics and KPI reporting.
  • Coordinate corrective actions and verify completion.
  • Participate in equipment, process and facility risk assessments.
  • Support contractor safety management.
  • Maintain SDS and chemical management systems.
  • Assist with environmental compliance activities.
  • Participate in corporate HSE projects across the Westpower Group.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Degree, diploma or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years HSE experience in manufacturing, industrial or heavy industry.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations.
  • Experience delivering safety training.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Preferred:

  • ASP, CSP or equivalent professional designation.
  • ISO 45001 experience.
  • Experience implementing HSE Management Systems.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Forklift, overhead crane or industrial manufacturing experience.
