Work Environment

As a Physician Assistant in our Surgical Center, you will work in a modern and well-equipped environment that values teamwork and collaboration. We operate primarily during weekdays with shifts starting at 5:00 PM, fostering a balanced work-life schedule for our staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including patient history reviews and thorough physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic imaging tests and laboratory work, such as blood tests and X-rays, to inform treatment decisions.
• Diagnose acute illnesses and implement treatment plans, adjusting as necessary based on ongoing assessment.
• Develop and oversee management plans for patients with chronic conditions, ensuring optimal health and wellness.
• Prescribe medications while monitoring for efficacy and potential side effects, maintaining patient safety.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously in electronic health records to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide education to patients and their families concerning health conditions, treatment options, preventative health measures, and lifestyle modifications.
• Actively promote wellness initiatives and good health practices among patients to foster a healthier community.
• Engage in continuous professional development through research, training, and attending relevant conferences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse patient population with varying healthcare needs, including children, adults, and seniors. Your role is instrumental in ensuring all patients feel welcome, heard, and understood throughout their healthcare journeys. By providing exceptional urgent care services, you will help to improve health outcomes and enhance the overall patient experience.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant studies, with a valid state Physician Assistant license (PA-C) and DEA number.
• Proficiency in both acute and primary care settings, reflecting a deep understanding of best practices in patient care.
• Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Demonstration of high ethical values and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Physician Assistant in urgent care, emergency room, or hospital settings is strongly preferred.
• Fluency in multiple languages is a plus, enhancing our ability to serve diverse communities.
• Experience in implementing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiencies.

Compensation and Benefits
