Position Overview:

Pratt's Pets is seeking a passionate and experienced Dog Groomer to join our team. As a Dog Groomer, you will be responsible for providing professional grooming services to dogs, ensuring they look and feel their best while maintaining a safe and comfortable grooming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform grooming services, including but not limited to bathing, brushing, cutting, and styling dogs according to breed standards and client preferences.
• Handle dogs with care, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, equipment, and tools.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and requirements.
• Educate pet owners on proper grooming techniques and products to maintain their dogs' coat and overall health.
• Maintain accurate records of grooming services, client preferences, and pet health histories.
• Stay informed about current trends, techniques, and advancements in the grooming industry.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a professional Dog Groomer is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of various dog breeds, coat types, and grooming techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both clients and team members.
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments in a calm and compassionate manner.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality grooming services.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certification or training in dog grooming is a plus.

Pay: Commission 50% of billed grooms plus tips
