PowerTec delivers motor control and switchgear solutions built on decades of combined experience and a commitment to excellence.We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our manufacturing team in Arizona.Position SummaryThis position will perform general cost accounting and other related duties in the Operations department.Essential DutiesEnsure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies and stay updated on changes in accounting rules and regulations. Maintains general ledger including coding invoices, setting up new accounts, and monthly books.Prepare standard and specialized financial reports, including, but not limited to balance sheets, income statements, and monthly closing reports.Assist in preparing documentation and schedules for internal and external audits and work with auditors to address inquiries. Reconcile and verify bank accounts, credit cards, and accounts payable and receivable. Record financial transactions for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll dates, including all changes and transactions.Reconcile and verify payroll register to ensure accurate general ledger transcription.Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable by gathering necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.Track and analyze data to provide insights into PowerTec's financial performance. Identify trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement. Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/AbilitiesExtensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.Understanding and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.Excellent organization skills.Must be able to use Microsoft Suite.Ability to use Oracle NetSuite highly desired Supervisor DutiesEnsure team is productive and morale is maintained in the Warehouse and the Field.Train and develop painters.Provide timely performance reviews throughout the year.Partner with manager and human resources to address conflict on the team.Manage customer expectations and involve management as appropriate.Education/ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.Two years of relevant experience preferred.
