Job description

Queens College of Theology is seeking compassionate, organized, and student-focused Student Advisors to support students throughout their academic and formation journey. Student Advisors serve as a primary point of contact for students, offering guidance, encouragement, and practical support as they navigate coursework, institutional processes, and vocational discernment. This role is ideal for individuals who feel called to walk alongside students in a mentoring and support capacity within a Christian academic environment.

Key Responsibilities Serve as a consistent point of contact for assigned students Assist students with course planning, registration, and academic progress Provide guidance on institutional policies, procedures, and degree requirements Support students experiencing academic, personal, or vocational challenges by connecting them with appropriate resources Maintain accurate advising records and communication notes Communicate regularly with academic leadership regarding student needs and concerns Foster a supportive, encouraging, and respectful learning environment Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and life experiences Commitment to the mission and values of Queens College of Theology Preferred Qualifications Graduate degree from an accredited university Experience in higher education, student services, ministry, counseling, or mentoring Familiarity with theological education or faith-based institutions This is a remote, volunteer position.
