Job Summary:

The Hose Assembler is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing industrial hoses according to company specifications and quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and adherence to safety protocols. Essential Job Functions:

  • Assemble hoses in small lots requiring multiple changeovers and using various hose and fitting part numbers.
  • Operate computer-interfaced assembly equipment.
  • Read and follow standard work directions.
  • Work as a team with other assemblers and Polyhose employees.
  • Improve assembly performance and efficiency through thoughtful ideas.
  • Work efficiently, completing many different tasks.
  • Safely follow standard work instructions.
  • Understand each assembly process, including setup procedures.
  • Demonstrate desire and willingness to perform different tasks.


Requirements:

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of hose assembly processes is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and cutting hoses accurately.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities to ensure they can perform essential job functions.
  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to temperature variations, noise, dust and moving equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the work shift.
  • Lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity to handle small parts and tools.
