Role Description This full-time Line Cook role at Poland Provisions is an on-site position located in Poland, ME. The Line Cook prepares menu items according to recipes and standards, sets up and breaks down station mise en place, and ensures food is cooked and plated with consistent quality and presentation. Daily responsibilities include following food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and assisting with prep work such as chopping, portioning, and labeling ingredients. The Line Cook collaborates with other kitchen team members during service, communicates clearly during busy periods, and helps with inventory rotation and storage. This role may also support occasional special events or menu changes as needed.

Qualifications

• Professional experience as a line cook, prep cook, or similar back-of-house role in a restaurant or food service setting.
• Strong knowledge of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and safe food handling practices; ServSafe or similar certification is a plus.
• Ability to follow recipes and directions accurately while maintaining speed and consistency during peak service times.
• Commitment to cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety regulations in all kitchen areas.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work full-time schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with kitchen and service teams.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or experience in scratch cooking is beneficial.
