Job description

Join our dynamic team as a Retail Store Manager in the Columbus area! We are seeking customer service-oriented individuals who thrive in a lively, team-focused environment for our 5 Columbus-area Plato's Closet locations. If you are energetic, upbeat, and enjoy engaging with customers, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. As a Retail Store Manager, you will oversee store operations, including buying and selling gently used clothing and accessories, loss prevention, merchandising, and team supervision. Our company is committed to fostering a supportive and fun workplace, with ample opportunities for growth and professional development.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of daily store operations
  • Recruit, select, and retain qualified employees to ensure optimal staffing levels
  • Motivate and direct store teams to maximize productivity and profitability
  • Communicate daily and weekly store goals to the team
  • Promote exceptional customer service through coaching, training, and role modeling
  • Maintain merchandise and visual presentation standards
  • Uphold all operational policies and procedures
  • Buy gently used clothing and accessories to meet company standards
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of management experience in retail, restaurant, or other fast-paced environments
  • Sales-driven, goal-oriented, and impeccably honest
  • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service, communication, organization, and follow-through skills

Working Conditions and Expectations
  • Required to work 40-42 hours per week, including 2 nights and rotating weekends

  • Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs.
