$2.13/hr + tips Free meal when working
POSITION SUMMARY: Our servers typically make an average of $150 - $250 in tips per shift. The server is responsible for serving food and beverages for our guests in an efficient and courteous manner. This position reports to the General Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a company advocate and embody Pizzana’s values: excellent customer service, innovation, community, cleanliness, and a great place to work.
- Participate and excel in your dining room training as you learn our menu, beverage selection, FAQs, and all things Pizzana.
- Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes Pizzana culture.
- Deliver exceptional customer service within the standards of management and Pizzana policies.
- Meet and anticipate all guest needs.
- Practice proper cash handling procedures with a smile.
- Demonstrate effortless teamwork skills as you rely on and assist fellow coworkers in providing the Pizzana experience helping with the delivery of food and beverages to the guests.
- Assist with all cleaning duties as stated on opening/closing and weekly checklists.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Report to work as scheduled and fulfill all requirements for duration of shift or until relieved.
- Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions to guests as necessary
- Take guest orders via Toast Handheld
- Input orders into the POS system
- Serve guests their prepared food and drinks while explaining the dishes as they are placed in front of each guest
- Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when the meal has been completed
- Prepare bill and accept payment with Toast Handheld
- Clear or reset table at the end of each course
- Thank guests and kindly invite them back for a future dining experience
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workers
- Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience
- Necessary food handler’s certificate
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 25 hours a week.
- Ability to stand/walk for 4-8 hours per day.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data.
- Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
- Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic.
- Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: Peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish.
