Role Description This full-time, on-site Auto Body Estimator role is located in Milwaukee, WI. The Auto Body Estimator will inspect vehicles for collision and body damage, document conditions, and prepare detailed repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software. Responsibilities include communicating repair plans and timelines to customers, coordinating with technicians and parts suppliers, and working with insurance companies to review and approve estimates. The role involves updating estimates as repairs progress, ensuring accuracy of parts and labor charges, and maintaining thorough records for each job. The estimator is also expected to support a safe, clean, and organized work environment while delivering clear, professional customer service.
Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes including Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair.
  • Prior experience as an auto body estimator or in collision repair, with familiarity using estimating software (e.g., CCC, Mitchell) and reading repair manuals.
  • Ability to accurately assess damage, calculate labor and parts costs, and prepare clear written estimates.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain repair needs and costs in plain language.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple estimates and repair orders simultaneously.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to safely move vehicles in and around the shop.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or collision repair training is a plus.
