We need a versatile carpenter who is experienced in structural wood framing, metal stud framing, drywall, taping, finishing, plaster/patching, and painting.

The ideal candidate must be able to read construction drawings and specifications, understand structural and architectural details, perform layout, and complete work independently with minimal supervision.

We are looking for someone capable of taking a scope from framing through final wall finish and paint.

Responsibilities

  • Install wood studs, headers, blocking, backing, posts, beams, and miscellaneous framing.
  • Install structural connectors, anchors, straps, hold-downs, and framing hardware as required.
  • Perform metal stud framing, including walls, soffits, ceilings, backing, and related assemblies.

  • Install doors, frames, trim, backing, blocking, and miscellaneous carpentry.
  • Perform selective demolition and repair related to carpentry and finishes.
  • Coordinate work with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other trades.
  • Identify field conflicts or missing information before installation.
  • Follow construction drawings, specifications, manufacturer requirements, and superintendent direction.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Complete daily work documentation when required.

Requirements

  • Experienced Journeyman-level Carpenter.
  • Strong commercial construction experience.
  • Strong experience with structural wood framing.
  • Strong experience with metal stud framing.
  • Strong drywall installation and finishing skills.
  • Experience with taping, mudding, sanding, texture, and Level 4/Level 5 finishes.
  • Experience with plaster, skim coating, and wall repairs.
  • Commercial painting experience.
  • Must be able to read architectural and structural plans and specifications.
  • Must understand layout, dimensions, elevations, and construction details.
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Must have own basic hand tools.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Able to safely work from ladders, scaffolding, and lifts when required.
  • OSHA/safety training preferred.

  • Drywall hanging
  • Drywall taping and finishing
