Job description

The CDL Class A OTR Truck Driver No Touch Freight role involves solo driving with a focus on long-haul and regional routes, operating various vehicle configurations such as standard tractor-trailers, reefers, containers, and dry vans. The position requires frequent overnight stays and extended periods on the road, ensuring safe and efficient freight transport with minimal freight handling.

Responsibilities

  • Transport freight safely on long-haul, regional, and intermodal routes
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and perform routine equipment maintenance
  • Plan and follow efficient driving routes
  • Comply with all safety regulations and hours of service requirements
  • Maintain accurate log documentation and handle accident reporting
  • Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch and other stakeholders
  • Secure loads to prevent shifting during transit

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years driving experience
  • Valid CDL Class A license
  • Valid Medical Certificate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial vehicle operation and long-haul driving
  • Proficient in vehicle inspection, route planning, and safety compliance
  • Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge in intermodal transport is a plus
