Job description

The Apartment Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of residential properties by performing a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks. Working primarily on-site and independently, this position reports to the maintenance supervisor and occasionally collaborates within small teams to address tenant needs and maintain building operations.


Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical repairs and troubleshoot electrical systems
  • Conduct plumbing maintenance and repairs
  • Execute general repairs throughout apartment units and common areas
  • Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to avoid future issues
  • Provide timely and effective support to tenants regarding maintenance requests

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in apartment maintenance
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of HVAC repair, electrical systems, and plumbing
  • Skill in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Strong customer service abilities
  • Proficient in the operation of hand tools
