• Must have valid and current Texas Medical Board issued Surgical Assistant License or valid and current Certification from a recognized accrediting body such as the American Board of Surgical Assistants (ABSA) or the National Surgical Assistant Association (NSAA) is required<\/li>
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) or equivalent<\/li>
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Orthopedic surgical first assisting in a hospital or an outpatient surgical center<\/li>
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proficient medical terminology with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment<\/li>
• Proficiency in various surgical procedures such as Total Knee Arthroplasty\/Replacement -Mako Robot, Distal Radius ORIF, Radial Shaft ORIF, and Total Hip Arthroplasty.<\/li>
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills<\/li>
• Foreign MDs must pass TOEFL Test<\/li>
• Solid communication and customer service skills<\/li>
• Ability use a computer to complete administrative tasks<\/li>
• Must have completed an accredited medical assisting program and a supervised externship in a healthcare setting<\/li>
• High school diploma or GED<\/li><\/ul>","responsibilities":"
