Responsibilities Leadership
- Member of the executive leadership team and active participant in driving execution of Network Office annual strategies and 10-year vision
- Responsible for building the vision and strategic plan for Career Advisor growth, productivity & engagement
- Lead, manage, and professionally develop a marketing coordinator
Career Advisor Consulting and Practice Management
- Consulting and coaching career advisors and their teams (through a clear segmentation framework): Business Model Design, Team Development, Business & Operations Management, Strategic Planning, Integrated Planning, Client Acquisition & Engagement Models, Leadership Development, Accountability, Succession, Ensemble Platform
- Liaison between the NO and HO including but not limited to: Sales Enablement, Practice Management, PCG, Field Growth and Engagement, Continuity and Succession, NO product specialists
- Subject matter expert for Sophisticated Advisors and Teams: PCG and Ensembles
- Liaison/subject matter expert of Entity Advisor
- Partners with CA leaders and their team members toward vision attainment
- Facilitates the sharing of necessary communications across all constituents (NO, HO and CAs)
- Organization, facilitation and/or implementation of local programs/services
Strategic Relationships
- Relationship Owner – External Consultants to Career Advisors
- Maintain strong collaborative relationships with Managing Directors throughout the Network Office
- Liaison between the NO, Field Growth Partner and other home office executives
- Partner with MDs and the U5 Development team to align on O5 expectations for LOS 3-4 advisors
- Consult LOS 3-4 advisors on practice-management fundamentals, vision, business model development, goal setting, and revenue streams
- Educate advisors on strategic use of Network Office support services
Marketing & Brand (CMO)
- Provide strategic leadership for the Marketing Engagement (MEP) and Mentorship (MMP) programs, coaching and consulting advisors and their teams
- Direct marketing education, brand, and communications strategy for the Network Office
- Champion the Northwestern Mutual brand locally, guiding media relations, PR accolades, and social and website strategy
- Set marketing priorities and direction, delegating hands‑on execution – collateral, events, digital content, and production – to the marketing coordinator
- Develop Marketing Coordinator to become the key point of contact and subject matter expert on FR webpage and advisor’s social media coverage

The primary role of the Chief Growth / Marketing Officer is to consult with career advisors on productivity drivers & strategies, business model design, practice management, and leadership development to drive overall growth and retention through retirement, while providing strategic marketing, media relations, and client-experience direction to advisors and the Network Office.

Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years Financial Services/Wealth Management experience
- Coaching experience
- Exceptional written, verbal, presentation and leadership skills
- Strong project management and collaboration skills
- Ability to think strategically while acting tactically
- Life & Health or Series Licensing
- Base salary of $150,000+, with bonus eligibility for exceeding performance metrics.

Please note that this role will be in the Skokie Office 4 days a week with an option to be remote on Friday's after an initial period of time with supervisor approval.
