We are hiring a Patient Implant Care Coordinator come join our team!
Powell, OH | Full-time | Greater Columbus Oral Surgery and Dental Implants
Role and Responsibilities
Step into a dynamic, patient-centered role at the intersection of clinical excellence and concierge-level care. As an Oral Surgery Surgical Assistant, you will play a vital part in both the surgical suite and the front office, ensuring seamless patient experiences from first contact through post-operative care.
In the clinical setting, you will assist oral surgeons with precision during procedures, maintain sterile environments, obtain diagnostic radiographs, and accurately document patient care. Your attention to detail and ability to anticipate surgical needs will help ensure safe, efficient operations while closely monitoring patient status.
Beyond the operatory, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients and referring offices. You will greet patients, manage scheduling, coordinate communications, and guide patients through treatment plans and financial responsibilities. By combining clinical knowledge with strong communication skills, you will help patients understand their treatment options, costs, and next steps with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist oral surgeons during procedures, ensuring proper instrumentation, sterile technique, and patient safety
  • Perform preoperative and postoperative tasks, including radiographs and detailed clinical documentation
  • Monitor patient condition during surgery and support the clinical team as needed
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, referring offices, and team members (in person, phone, and electronic communication)
  • Schedule appointments and manage the doctor's calendar to optimize efficiency
  • Develop and explain treatment plans based on doctor recommendations
  • Present financial estimates, collect payments, and maintain accurate financial records
  • Coordinate communication between patients, surgeons, and referring providers
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to deliver an outstanding patient experience
  • Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of customer service experience required.
  • Medical or dental experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
  • Understanding of dental terminology.
  • Friendly, inviting, and professional personality and presence.
  • Basic office skills such as typing and filing.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
