  • Dismantle scrap materials and remove higher-value metals where applicable.
  • Cut larger or oversized pieces of metal into smaller, marketable pieces using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and front-end loaders as required and when trained.
  • Maintain property, facilities, equipment, and work areas in good order.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and assist in providing a positive customer experience.
  • Complete cleanup and general maintenance of equipment and the job site.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental practices.
  • Communicate unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or injuries to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Maintain working knowledge of changes in technology, equipment, and operating techniques.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a labour, recycling, construction, manufacturing, or similar environment is required.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, skid steer, or front-end loader is an asset.
  • Knowledge of general workplace safety practices.
  • Physically capable of performing heavy and repetitive labour in an outdoor environment.
  • Comfortable working outdoors with minimal shade and exposure to varying weather conditions, including rain, heat, cold, and other seasonal conditions.
  • Able to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Successful completion of criminal record check, reference check, and drug and alcohol testing.
IMPORTANT:
