Job description

The Savannah R-3 School District has an immediate opening for a Performing Arts Center Manager to oversee the daily operations, scheduling, and use of the district's performing arts facilities. This position will coordinate events, support school and community programs, maintain a safe and welcoming facility, and ensure the Performing Arts Center is prepared for a wide variety of performances and activities.  This is an extra duty position, not intended to be full time employment. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage daily operations and scheduling of the Performing Arts Center.Coordinate events, rehearsals, performances, and facility use.Work with school staff, performers, community organizations, and outside groups.Coordinate facility setup, equipment, custodial needs, and event logistics.Monitor and maintain facility equipment, furnishings, and performance spaces.Assist with basic sound, lighting, staging, and technical operations.Ensure safety procedures and district policies are followed.Report maintenance and repair needs.Maintain schedules, records, inventories, and related documentation.Assist with event setup, teardown, opening, and securing of the facility.Provide a professional and welcoming experience for facility users.Perform other duties as assigned.
