Job description

The Role

We are looking to engage a small group of interns AND/OR PART-TIME STUDENT WORKERS (the exact number is flexible and will depend on student availability and hours worked) to support several academic and analytical projects. Below is a general overview of our needs:

Internship Details

Paid Internship!

Time Commitment: Approximately 12-15 hours per week per intern

Duration: March through July/August 2026, BUT we could break this up into just March, April & May and then for other students June, July, & August)

Location: In-person. Downtown Maryville TN in Preservation Plaza (across from the Maryville College Downtown Center

Work Focus: Content review/Quality Assurance and analysis of math problems and career exploration lessons.

Ideal Backgrounds / Areas of Study. We are open to students from a variety of disciplines, including:

  • Math majors (mathematics content knowledge is essential)
  • Education majors, particularly Math Education
  • English or Communications majors with strong copywriting and content review skills
  • Students with experience or interest in research, quantitative reasoning, and quality assurance
  • Students with analytics or data-related experience, including:
    • Data analysis and interpretation
    • Supporting AI-driven initiatives
    • Reviewing and analyzing work outputs in partnership with research efforts

The roles are flexible and can be tailored based on each intern’s strengths, academic background, and availability.
Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Prolonged periods of standing
  • Must be able to work-in person at our office.
