We’re working with a fast-growing AI company building infrastructure and datasets used to advance frontier LLMs and AI agents.

They’re looking for exceptional early-career technical talent to join their San Francisco team. This is not a traditional software engineering role. It sits at the intersection of engineering, AI, operations and customer delivery.

You’ll work directly on complex projects for leading AI labs while building tools, automating workflows and helping scale the systems behind advanced AI data generation.

What you’ll be doing:

• Partner with frontier AI teams on complex dataset generation projects

• Build internal tools and automate workflows using Python, JavaScript and AI coding tools

• Use tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to improve operational efficiency

• Coordinate technical projects across software engineering, data science and ML teams

• Build lightweight dashboards and systems to track project performance

• Translate technical requirements into clear project plans and documentation

• Support product testing, feature releases and technical customer requirements

• Identify inefficient processes and build better systems from scratch

What we’re looking for:

• 0-2 years of professional experience

• Strong programming fundamentals with proficiency in at least one language

• Strong CS or technical academic background

• Undergraduate degree from a leading university in the US, Canada or Europe, ideally a top-20 Computer Science programme. Exceptional candidates with elite SWE internships, founding experience or another clear signal of technical excellence will also be considered.

• Experience building technical projects from 0 to 1 and taking ownership through delivery

• Comfortable using AI development tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or similar

• Excellent communication skills and comfortable operating with ambiguity

• High levels of ownership, urgency and personal drive

Particularly interesting backgrounds include:

• Recent CS or STEM graduates from highly selective universities

• SWE internships at high-bar technology companies

• Founding engineers or technical startup founders

• Candidates who built and launched meaningful technical products while at university

• Leadership positions within prominent technical or entrepreneurial university organisations

The environment:

This is an intense early-stage environment for people who actively want responsibility and pace. The team works from its San Francisco office Monday-Friday.

In return you’ll work alongside an unusually strong technical team on problems at the frontier of AI with significant responsibility from day one.

Compensation:

• $110k - $130k base salary

• Performance-based compensation with total earning potential of $210k - $260k

• Meaningful equity

• Visa transfers including OPT and existing H-1B considered

• Exceptional candidates requiring sponsorship may also be considered
