Ox & Olive, a new high-end steakhouse located in the heart of Georgetown, is seeking an experienced and visionary Head Chef to lead our opening team. A concept by Hive Hospitality, Ox & Olive is dedicated to showcasing unique, single-origin cuts of beef sourced globally, paired with an exceptional dining experience.

The Head Chef will hold full responsibility for all culinary operations, setting the vision for menu development, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, consistency, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Culinary Leadership & Menu Development: Oversee the creation and execution of the seasonal menu, ensuring alignment with the restaurant's high-end, steak-focused concept.
• Operations & Financial Management: Manage food cost, labor budgets, ordering, and inventory to ensure profitability and efficiency without compromising quality.
• Team Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and lead the entire culinary team, fostering a culture of excellence, professional growth, and collaboration.
• Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards for food quality, presentation, and safety across all kitchen operations, ensuring strict adherence to health codes.
• Service Oversight: Lead the kitchen during service, ensuring seamless operations, clear communication, and a superior dining experience for guests.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fine dining or high-volume steakhouse environment.
• Demonstrated success in menu development, cost control, and managing profitable kitchen operations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
• Expert knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices.
