Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including managing patient appointments, maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR), and updating medical charts with precision.
• Greet patients warmly as they arrive, gather their medical histories comprehensively, and prepare them for examinations or treatments, ensuring comfort and clarity about the process.
• Assist physicians during patient examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries, demonstrating proficiency with medical equipment and maintaining a sterile and organized setting.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, ensuring they are labeled and documented accurately according to protocol.
• Administer medications, such as injections, under physicians' supervision while strictly adhering to safety guidelines and dosage instructions.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests, including urinalysis, blood glucose levels, and EKGs, interpreting results with accuracy.
• Provide education to patients regarding medication usage, procedures, and general health maintenance, ensuring they understand their health and care plans.
• Perform routine patient care tasks, such as measuring vital signs, recording height and weight, and documenting patient information with meticulous attention.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness in examination rooms by sterilizing instruments and maintaining medical supply inventory effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate coordinated care and enhance the patient experience through effective communication.

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic pharmacology.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and familiarity with medical software.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while delivering exemplary care.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting is advantageous. Familiarity with dermatological procedures and practices will be considered a significant asset.

Compensation and Benefits
