Job Summary:
We are looking for a dependable, well-rounded General Maintenance Technician to join our growing facilities team. This role supports routine maintenance, repair, and light construction work across commercial, retail, and residential properties. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across multiple trades - carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and general building upkeep - and takes pride in delivering professional, high-quality results safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: 
  •  General Repairs: Perform day-to-day maintenance and repair tasks on buildings, fixtures, and equipment. 
  • Plumbing: Address leaks, clogs, and fixture replacements; perform basic plumbing installations. 
  • Electrical: Replace switches, outlets, lighting, and handle small electrical troubleshooting safely. 
  • Carpentry: Repair and install doors, trim, cabinetry, and light framing or finish work. 
  • Painting & Surface Repair: Patch, prep, and paint walls, ceilings, and trim for a clean, professional finish. 
  • Equipment & Appliance Installation: Set up, test, and secure light equipment or fixtures as needed. 
  • Exterior Work: Assist with minor fence repair, pressure washing, gutter cleaning, and light landscaping. 
  • Preventive Maintenance: Inspect facilities regularly, identify needs, and report issues requiring escalation. 
  • Safety & Tools: Operate hand and power tools responsibly, maintain equipment, and follow company safety standards. 
  • Leverage Operational Controls:  to ensure work is performed on time, on budget, and consistently 
    meets requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Trade school experience or relevant certification preferred
  • Strong working knowledge across several trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.) 
  • Reliable problem-solver who takes initiative and delivers quality workmanship 
  • Ability to manage multiple work orders and prioritize efficiently 
  • Good communication skills and professional customer interaction 
  • Physically capable of lifting, standing, and working in varied conditions 
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 
  •  2+ years in a maintenance, facilities, or handyman role 
  • Familiarity with commercial building systems, building codes and safety procedures
