Position Overview

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic team at One Step Forward Recovery & Counseling PC. This full-time, remote position allows you to provide impactful mental health services through our telehealth platform based in Dallas, Texas. You will play a crucial role in helping individuals overcome trauma, fostering their resilience, and contributing to their overall mental well-being.

Work Environment

The role is performed entirely through telehealth, which allows for flexibility and convenience for both our counselors and clients. Our practice operates seven days a week, from 7 AM to 10 PM, to accommodate a variety of client schedules. This remote setting offers you the autonomy to manage your time effectively while still receiving robust support and resources from our collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at One Step Forward Recovery & Counseling PC, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' histories and determining personalized treatment strategies.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience-building techniques.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
• Providing individual and group therapy sessions that promote coping strategies and help clients process their trauma.
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Offering crisis intervention and support during emergencies related to trauma.
• Educating clients and their families about trauma responses and available coping resources.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards.
• Participating in case consultations, professional development sessions, and ongoing education in trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population primarily consists of individuals dealing with the aftermath of traumatic experiences. At One Step Forward Recovery & Counseling PC, we also encourage our counselors, especially those willing to see couples, to expand their clinical skills. Our practice is designed to attract a motivated group of clients who are eager for support and made possible by our effective marketing strategies and client service team.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications essential for delivering telehealth services.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.
• The ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations, facilitating a safe environment for clients.
• Facilitation skills to engage collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experience is preferred:

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrated experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• A strong commitment to personal and professional development and a willingness to engage in continuous learning.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 110,000 per year, with guaranteed pay structures, annual increases, and bonus opportunities. Our benefits package includes:
