Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Job Description

Perform high-quality restorative functions, including placing and contouring fillings.
Provide expert chairside assistance to the dentist during a variety of clinical procedures.
Capture clear digital X-rays and dental impressions for diagnostic use.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms according to safety standards.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions.
Update and maintain accurate electronic patient records and clinical notes.
Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure a smooth and efficient daily office flow.

Salary Range

Full-time $36,500 - $46,700 per year

- Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Shift & Schedule

Monday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday – Sunday: Closed

Requirements

Valid State Certification as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA).
Current X-ray certification.
Strong clinical skills with a focus on restorative excellence and precision.
Excellent communication skills and a warm, professional personality.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced clinical setting.
A reliable work ethic and a commitment to being a team player.

Preferences

Previous experience in a general or cosmetic dentistry practice.
Proficiency with modern dental practice management software.
Advanced knowledge of dental sterilization and infection control procedures.
