Omega Consulting partners with food industry organizations nationwide to strengthen food safety, compliance, and operational systems. We are seeking an experienced Food Safety & Regulatory Consultant for a contract position supporting client operations on the East Coast.

As a Food Safety & Regulatory Consultant, you will:

• Provide consulting support for USDA FSIS inspection readiness.
• Draft and review facility layouts, inspection flows, and SOPs.
• Advise on temperature control, labeling, traceability, and sanitation practices.
• Lead consulting for the design and implementation of new food packaging lines.
• Conduct risk assessments, zoning evaluations, and regulatory impact reviews under BRCGS standards.
• Develop and update food safety plans, SOPs, PRPs, traceability systems, and staff training programs.
• Prepare clients for audits and certifications.
• Communicate effectively with regulators, auditors, and client leadership teams.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Food Safety, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of USDA FSIS regulations and BRCGS certification standards.
• Experience with regulatory compliance, packaging line implementation, and food safety program management.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Prior consulting experience strongly preferred.
