Oak Plumbing & Heating

We are looking for an experienced Plumbing Mechanic to lead a team and oversee plumbing work in a commercial setting. The ideal candidate is a skilled plumber with strong leadership abilities and experience with plumbing systems, fixtures, drainage, underground and gas piping.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a plumbing team on commercial job sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Install and connect plumbing fixtures, including sinks, toilets, faucets, water heaters, and related equipment.
• Install, modify, and repair gas piping systems in accordance with applicable codes and safety requirements.
• Work with domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage, underground and other piping systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications and accurately lay out and install piping accordingly.
• Coordinate daily work with team members, other trades, customers, and project management.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality, proper operation, and code compliance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude and appearance on every job.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional plumbing experience.
• Previous experience leading or supervising a plumbing crew preferred.
• Strong experience with commercial plumbing.
• Experience with fixtures, piping systems, drainage, underground and gas piping.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and plumbing drawings.
• Solid knowledge of plumbing codes, installation practices, and job-site safety.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well with customers, coworkers, and other trades.
• Ability to work independently while effectively leading and supporting a team.
• Must live in Dutchess, Orange or Ulster County.
