Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Optician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting patients with their eyewear needs. You will work closely with both patients and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of optical care are met. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge in ophthalmology, medical terminology, and retail sales, along with a passion for helping others achieve optimal vision.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their needs and preferences.
• Conduct fittings and adjustments for eyeglasses and contact lenses.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform basic laboratory tasks, including lens grinding and frame repairs.
• Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Manage inventory levels of optical products and supplies.
• Provide support in retail sales, including handling transactions and promoting products.

Experience
Candidates should have a background that includes:

• Optical experience or relevant training in an optometry or ophthalmology setting.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and vital signs as they relate to eye health.
• Retail management experience is beneficial for overseeing sales operations.
• Proficiency in aseptic techniques to maintain cleanliness in the work environment.
