Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to formulate effective treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Offer evidence-based therapeutic interventions utilizing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Engage in regular collaboration with a multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to ensure holistic care and integrated service delivery.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records that comply with ethical standards and legal requirements, ensuring all documentation is current and accurate.
• Continually advance your professional knowledge by attending workshops and training relevant to mental health advancements and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LPCC at Nurturing Minds Counseling, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups facing various mental health challenges. Your focus may include areas such as trauma recovery, addiction, anxiety, and relational issues, allowing you to apply your expertise where it is most needed.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) within the state of California.
• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience providing counseling services, ideally within a clinical or outpatient setting.
• Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal regulations that govern counseling practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate effective rapport-building with clients from all backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Specialized training in areas such as trauma-informed therapy, substance abuse counseling, family therapy, or couples counseling is highly desirable.
• Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) software and comfortable with using technology to streamline counseling practices.
