Family Law Staff Attorney (2 Openings)
Ocala, Florida | Hybrid Schedule Available
Starting Salary: $70,000 + 10% Sign-On Bonus

NorthStar Legal is recruiting on behalf of a respected nonprofit legal organization seeking two Family Law Staff Attorneys to join its growing team in Ocala.

These positions offer the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families while handling substantive family law matters in a supportive, mission-driven environment. One attorney will focus primarily on domestic violence injunction matters, while the second attorney will focus primarily on divorce, paternity, and related family law cases.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in family law matters from intake through resolution
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and related legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and case analysis
  • Appear at hearings, mediations, and court proceedings
  • Provide legal advice and advocacy to clients
  • Manage an active caseload while maintaining high-quality client service
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
  • Participate in community outreach and educational initiatives as needed

Qualifications

  • Active membership in The Florida Bar and good standing
  • Family law experience preferred
  • Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to serving individuals and families facing challenging legal circumstances
