Responsibilities

• Working with the Planning Team to support municipal clients in writing Master Plans, Redevelopment Plans, Housing Plans, and Investigation Studies. (Attendance at some night meetings)
• Assisting with the review of site plans and subdivision applications for Municipal Land Use Boards.
• Assisting in drafting amendments to zoning ordinances.
• Preparing visuals and presentations for public meetings.
• Creating streetscape and architectural design standards.
• Present reports to municipal officials and staff, and the general public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Planning (or similar equivalent field).
• AICP and/or PP license or an interest/goal to obtain them.
• 1-5 years of experience in Land Development, Zoning, and Planning.

Required Skills

• Candidate should possess good communication, verbal, and technical writing skills.
• Candidate should be comfortable with public speaking.
• Understanding of zoning ordinances, Municipal Land Use Law, Master Planning, Affordable Housing, and Redevelopment Plans in New Jersey.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, but not required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
