Position Overview

Motion Physical Therapy is actively searching for a dedicated and passionate Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team in Alexandria, Virginia. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative outpatient office environment, focusing on helping children achieve their maximum physical potential and overall quality of life.

Work Environment

The ideal candidate will work onsite at our outpatient facility, where they will contribute to a supportive and resource-rich environment. Our facility in Alexandria is designed to be welcoming and child-friendly, providing a space where patients can feel safe and comfortable during their therapy sessions. The operating hours give therapists the opportunity to provide treatment during peak hours for our young clientele, operating from Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 3 PM.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pediatric Physical Therapist at Motion Physical Therapy, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations of childrenโ€™s physical conditions to assess their needs and identify effective treatment methods.
  • Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the specific goals of each child.
  • Regularly reassessing patient progress to evaluate treatment effectiveness and make necessary modifications to care plans.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, including SOAP notes and progress summaries, through our electronic health record system.
  • Providing guidance and education to patients and their families about the rehabilitation process and addressing potential challenges they may encounter.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to optimize the overall service provided to clients with diverse therapeutic needs.
  • Promoting the core values of Motion Physical Therapy and engaging in initiatives that foster a positive company culture and enhance community outreach efforts.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Pediatric Physical Therapist will primarily work with children with various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, including developmental delays, physical disabilities, sports injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation. Our diverse patient population encompasses children of all ages, backgrounds, and physical abilities, requiring therapists who are skilled in customizing care for each child's unique needs.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A Master's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • A valid and unrestricted license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Virginia.
