This role is part time and the hours are 3:00pm to 6:00pm Monday - Friday.

Holy Redeemer Catholic School in Kensington is seeking a faith-filled, organized, and compassionate Aftercare Supervisor to oversee our after-school program for students. The Aftercare Director is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that reflects the mission and values of Holy Redeemer. The ideal candidate is a positive leader who enjoys working with children, supervising staff, communicating with families, and managing daily program operations.
Essential Responsibilities
• Plan, organize, and supervise the daily aftercare program.
• Ensure the safety, well-being, and supervision of all students at all times.
• Train, schedule, and supervise aftercare staff and substitutes.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and student sign-in/sign-out procedures.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student needs, program updates, and concerns.
• Address student behavior using positive discipline consistent with the school's policies and Catholic values.
• Ensure compliance with all school, diocesan, state, and local licensing or childcare regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized program environment.
• Manage program supplies and monitor the aftercare budget as assigned.
• Coordinate emergency procedures and respond appropriately to accidents or incidents.
• Collaborate with school administration, faculty, and staff to support the school's mission.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications
• Commitment to supporting the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church and Holy Redeemer School.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Recreation, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with elementary-aged children required.
• Previous supervisory or program management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Successful completion of all diocesan background screening and Safe Environment requirements.
