Job description

The Director of Human Resources provides strategic and operational leadership for all aspects of human capital across a multi-community senior living organization. This role partners closely with executive and community leadership to drive workforce strategies that support high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, employee engagement, and organizational growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesHR Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with organizational goals and operational priorities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, and culture

  • Foster a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, engagement, and service excellence

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Management
  • Oversee recruitment strategies for high-demand roles including caregivers, clinical staff, and community leadership

  • Develop workforce planning initiatives to ensure appropriate staffing levels across communities

  • Support onboarding programs that promote retention and a strong resident-centered culture

Employee Relations & Performance Management
  • Provide leadership over employee relations, including investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective actions

  • Ensure consistent and fair application of performance management processes

  • Coach and support leaders in effectively managing teams and addressing complex employee issues

Compensation, Benefits & Retention
  • Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs aligned with market trends

  • Oversee performance review and merit processes to ensure equity and consistency

  • Implement strategies to improve retention, engagement, and overall employee experience

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and senior living regulations

  • Maintain HR policies and procedures to reflect regulatory requirements and best practices

  • Support audit readiness and risk mitigation across all communities

Training, Development & Culture
  • Lead training and leadership development initiatives for community and corporate leaders

  • Promote continuous learning and professional development to support operational excellence

  • Reinforce a culture aligned with Mosaic’s values and commitment to quality care

HR Operations & Analytics
  • Oversee HR systems, reporting, and data analytics to monitor workforce trends and outcomes

  • Use data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and improve organizational performance

  • Ensure efficient, scalable HR operations across a multi-site environment

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field required

  • 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in senior living, healthcare, or multi-site operations

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and regulatory environments

  • Proven experience in employee relations, talent acquisition, and performance management

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across all levels of an organization

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

Additional Requirements
  • Ability to travel to communities as needed

  • Regular on-site presence in both Home Office and community environments

  • Compliance with all pre-employment screenings and state-required training
