Momotaro and Izakaya, Chicago’s premier Japanese dining destinations, is looking for a talented and motivated Sushi Line Cook to join our culinary team in the Izakaya!

Qualified candidates should have at least one year of professional experience working with sushi and raw fish, specifically portioning and cutting fish for sashimi, nigiri, and maki. Strong knife skills, attention to detail, proper food handling and sanitation practices, and the ability to execute consistently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen are essential.

This position offers the opportunity to work with exceptional products, including fish sourced directly from Toyosu Market and whole Bluefin tuna, as well as premium Japanese ingredients and products from local farms.

We offer an extensive training program with opportunities to continue developing skills in fish butchery, sushi preparation, and traditional Japanese techniques, along with long-term growth within our continuously expanding restaurant group.
