Job description

Akkodis is seeking an Field Service Technician for a Contract job with a client in Lexington NC 27292. The client is seeking a field service technician with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience, and the ability to independently support rail vehicle testing, commissioning, and customer operations.


Rate Range: $27/hour to $29/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical system issues.

Support commissioning, testing, and warranty activities at customer sites.

Assist customers and manufacturing teams with technical problem-solving.

Follow technical procedures and represent the company professionally on-site.


Requirements / Qualifications

5+ years of technician or field service experience.

Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.

Comfortable using laptops and software diagnostic tools.

High school diploma with technical training or certifications.

Valid driver's license and ability to work independently.


Preferred

Experience in rail, transit, or similar transportation industries.

Additional technical certifications.

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PC-based tools.

Leadership experience supervising temporary or contract personnel.
