Are you an experienced Mental Health Registered Nurse with a passion for education, leadership, and developing others? Join Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) as a Clinical Nurse Educator and play a pivotal role in supporting and empowering our mental health nursing workforce.

About the Opportunity

In this rewarding position, you will help build capability across our acute mental health in-patient services by delivering high-quality clinical education, mentoring staff, and promoting evidence-based practice.

As the Clinical Nurse Educator, you will provide clinical education and training that enhances the knowledge, skills, and confidence of nursing staff within the Mental Health Division. In this role you will:

• Deliver engaging clinical education and training to build capability across Mental Health In-Patient Services.
• Mentor and support nursing staff to promote evidence-based practice and professional development.
• Design, implement, and evaluate education programs that strengthen clinical skills and patient care.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders and multidisciplinary teams to identify learning needs and drive continuous improvement.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with relevant postgraduate clinical or education qualifications (or equivalent experience).
• Extensive recent experience in a mental health clinical setting, with a strong commitment to high-quality patient care.
• Demonstrated expertise in delivering education, applying adult learning principles, and supporting workforce development.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Confidence using technology to support contemporary clinical education and a commitment to CCLHD's strategic plan and annual priorities of; 'Trusted care. Better health for everyone.'
