Micro Metals is looking for a dependable Saw Operator to join our 2nd Shift manufacturing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for accurately cutting raw materials to specification, preparing materials for production, and helping ensure quality products are delivered to our customers.

What You'll Do
  • Operate horizontal and vertical band saws and other cutting equipment 
  • Read work orders, blueprints, and cut lists to determine material requirements 
  • Measure, mark, and cut raw materials to precise specifications 
  • Verify dimensions using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools 
  • Load, unload, and safely handle metal materials 
  • Identify and label cut material for the next stage of production 
  • Inspect materials for quality and report any defects or inconsistencies 
  • Maintain production records and material counts 
  • Perform routine housekeeping and basic machine maintenance 
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE 
  • Work with production, fabrication, and shipping teams to meet production schedules 
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED preferred 
  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not required 
  • Experience operating industrial saws is a plus 
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately 
  • Ability to read blueprints or willingness to learn 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality 
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds 
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic 
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
