Job Summary:
MaxQ Medical is developing a next-generation ultrasound system that combines advanced electronics, signal processing, and system-level design to deliver a transformative imaging and therapy solution for prostate care. They are hiring a Mid-Level Software Engineer to support both application software development and manufacturing testing systems for their ultrasound platform.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain application-level software supporting medical device functionality
• Design and build manufacturing test software for acoustic and electrical validation
• Integrate software with lab equipment and hardware systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements and translate into solutions
• Contribute to software architecture and system design decisions
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software interaction issues
• Support improvements in test automation and system reliability
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)
• Experience with Git version control
• Experience with GitHub and continuous integration
• Experience working with hardware-integrated or lab-based systems
• 2+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent practical experience)
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and collaborate effectively
Preferred:
• Exposure to testing frameworks or automation
• Familiarity with C/C++, multithreading, or systems programming
• Experience in medical devices or regulated environments
