The Role

Matrix MKTG is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to support the execution, tracking, and reporting of social media initiatives across client accounts and events.

This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role for someone who understands social media platforms, enjoys working with data, and can help keep content, reporting, and day-to-day social execution organized and moving forward.

Working closely with Social Media Managers, Digital Strategists, Copywriters, and other members of our integrated teams, the Social Media Coordinator will help track campaign performance, organize and schedule content, maintain reporting and content systems, support community engagement, and translate social performance data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track key social media engagement metrics, including likes, comments, shares, reach, impressions, website clicks, video views, and other relevant KPIs across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other assigned channels.
  • Collect and organize data from social platforms and analytics tools, ensuring reporting is accurate, complete, and consistently maintained.
  • Create regular and ad hoc social media performance reports that identify trends, successes, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Translate social media data into clear, easy-to-understand charts, graphs, and reporting materials for internal teams and client-facing deliverables.
  • Assist with competitive social media analysis to identify relevant benchmarks, trends, and opportunities.
  • Partner with Social Media Managers, Digital Strategists, Copywriters, and other cross-functional team members to provide insights that inform content and campaign decisions.
  • Stay current on social platform features, trends, algorithm changes, analytics capabilities, and evolving best practices.
  • Maintain organized documentation of social media tracking processes, reporting methodologies, and performance data.
  • Support the development and execution of social media strategies for client campaigns, events, and activations.
  • Assist with the organization and distribution of social media content, including images, video, copy, and other creative assets.
  • Support the Social Media Manager in maintaining content calendars and ensuring posts, assets, approvals, and deadlines remain on track.
  • Assist with scheduling and publishing approved social media content using platform-native and third-party scheduling tools.
  • Maintain organized digital content and asset libraries.
  • Support community engagement efforts and help monitor audience interactions across assigned social channels.
  • Provide additional social media and campaign support as needed in a fast-paced agency environment.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong interest in social media, digital marketing, and culturally relevant brand experiences.
  • Experience working with major social media platforms and their native analytics capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, and interpret social media performance data.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, accounts, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across creative, strategy, account, and social teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with social media management, analytics, and scheduling tools.
  • Understanding of social media content and community engagement best practices.
  • Ability and willingness to stay current on emerging social platforms, trends, technologies, and algorithm changes.

Work Schedule & Location

This is a full-time hybrid position based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Employees work in-office Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and remotely Thursday and Friday. The standard work schedule for this position is 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.

This role also requires approximately 20–30% travel based on client, event, and business needs.

Compensation

Annual Salary Range: $48,000–$50,000

Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the position.
