Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the physical needs and functional limitations of patients referred by physicians.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific goals and conditions of each patient.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities, to optimize recovery and enhance patient function.
  • Provide education and training to patients and their caregivers on managing conditions and improving mobility skills.
  • Document patient progress, treatment responses, and modifications to the care plan in line with best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to maximize patient outcomes, providing updates in team meetings and consultations.
  • Maintain minimum utilization goals and adhere to organizational business objectives to contribute to overall clinic success.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service and engagement with patients to foster a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic pain conditions. Your caseload may also include pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients, allowing for diverse experience and skill development. Through your specialized care and evidence-based approaches, you will help patients navigate the challenges of rehabilitation, setting them on a clear path toward recovery and improved functionality.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by APTA or CAPTE.
  • Current State License in Physical Therapy in Florida.
  • Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer and word processing skills for effective documentation.
  • A strong commitment to building relationships with patients to empower them in achieving their functional goals.
  • A passion for connecting positively with individuals and fostering community ties.
Preferred Experience

Experience in orthopedic physical therapy is desirable, particularly in an outpatient setting. Familiarity with various treatment modalities and evidence-based practices will enhance your ability to effectively contribute to the team.
