Marcal Paper, a leader in sustainable paper products, is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our growing team.
About the Role:
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll report to our Director of Maintenance and Engineering and play a key role in ensuring our equipment operates at peak performance. You’ll perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot problems, and support other team members to keep our production lines rolling.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Start machines and observe mechanical/electrical operation to determine efficiency and detect problems
- Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance
- Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas for repair
- Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work
- Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists
- Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment
- Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies so that stock can be maintained and replenished
- Record repair and machine maintenance information
- Communicate effectively with teammates
- Share knowledge and train others
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: ·
- High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- Maintenance: 3 years (Required)
- Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Required)
- Proficient with Allen Bradley Studio Suite, Siemens, or other software platforms
- Can manipulate Ladder Logics
- Lift, push and pull up to 55 lbs. repeatedly; Stand and/or walk regularly for entire shift.
